1,500 servicemen have suffered from crimes committed by Russians - UCP

Russian occupiers deliberately killed 73 Ukrainian servicemen. In total, about 1,500 defenders of Ukraine suffered from the Russians' crimes.
The Prosecutor-General's Office told this to journalists of LIGA.net.
More than 1,500 Ukrainian servicemen are currently victims of such crimes, 73 of whom were intentionally killed," the report said.
The Prosecutor-General's Office also noted that law enforcers are currently investigating 265 crimes committed by Russians against Ukrainian POWs.
Two individuals have been notified in absentia on suspicion of mistreatment of POWs, including one on murder. Investigations in other cases are continuing and measures are being taken to establish all the circumstances of these crimes," the UCP added.
It is worth noting that the mass media repeatedly published videos of the execution of Ukrainian servicemen who had been held captive in Russia. Thus, after one of the videos hit the web, ombudsman Dmytro Luchynets said that there were "a lot of such cases, thousands of them, possibly even tens of thousands". But GUR head Kyrylo Budanov denied this information and hinted that "almost all Russian occupants who executed Ukrainian servicemen no longer exist".
