Ukraine receives $1.25bn from the US: what the money will be used for

The Ukrainian state budget received $1.25 billion in grant money from the United States.
This was reported by the Ministry of Finance of Ukraine.
It is noted that the funding was provided as part of the fourth supplementary financing for the Public Expenditure Support for Sustainable Public Administration in Ukraine (PEACE) project.
The partnership with the US and the World Bank's wartime team allows the Ukrainian government to finance priority social expenditures in full. At the same time, aid in the form of grants does not increase the debt burden and helps stabilize the financial system," Ukrainian Finance Minister Serhiy Marchenko said.
The ministry said that the funds received today will be used to pay IDPs, salaries of health workers and payments to employees of the State Emergencies Service.
