Orban demanded Ukraine's exclusion from the European Union.

Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orban has put forward his own 12 demands to the European Union and once again opposed Ukraine's membership in it. He wrote about it on his page in X.

  • "We demand a Europe of nations."
  • "We demand equality before the law for all member states";
  • Restore the competences "illegally taken away" from states;
  • National sovereignty and strong veto power for national governments;
  • "Expel Soros agents from the Commission and remove corrupt lobbyists" from the European Parliament;
  • "Do not mortgage the future of our grandchildren" and eliminate EU debts;
  • Not to prevent the Hungarian National Guard from defending the country's borders, "not to import" migrants and expel those arriving in the EU illegally;
  • Dollars and euros obtained by corrupt means should not flow to EU states;
  • Ban the "unnatural re-education of our children";
  • Protect Europe's Christian heritage;
  • "We demand peace in Europe";
  • "Union, but without Ukraine".

We would like to point out that earlier the president pointed out that only Budapest blocks our country's accession to the EU. Orban has a pro-Russian stance; he favours the lifting of Western sanctions against Russia, accuses Ukraine of starting a war, votes against providing aid to Ukraine and supports separatist statements regarding Ukraine's Transcarpathia.

The EU has already repeatedly proposed to deprive Hungary of its voting rights in the EU or even to exclude it from the Union.
