There are not enough specialists: migrants will be attracted to Germany

The German population is shrinking and aging. The state needs workers.
RBC-Ukraine writes about this.
In Germany, they want to create a "map of opportunities" for foreigners. The population is aging and there is a shortage of specialists in many areas.
The program for migrants will include four criteria: the applicant must be at least 35 years old, have an academic degree, work experience of at least three years, knowledge of languages or have previously been in Germany. Anyone who meets at least three of these four criteria will be given the opportunity to come to Germany and look for work there.
What is the problem
Experts believe that Germany will be forced to simplify labor migration every year in order to compensate for the shortage of workers among the Germans.
There are many reasons why Germany needs more workers. The median age of the country's population is now much higher than it used to be. And in the coming years, many people will retire. Nearly 13 million economically active people will reach the legal retirement age in the next 15 years, the article says.
So, by 2036, Germany will lose almost a third of its current workers.
Who are they looking for
Already, businesses are often closed due to the inability to find staff.
Most staff is required for production and warehouses; in hotels and catering; construction; sales.
Population aging
Since 1972 in Germany, the number of deaths has exceeded the number of births.
According to Eurostat, by 2060 the population of Germany will decrease by 14%. The average age in the country is increasing with every pride: in 2020 it was 44.6 years - 0.01 more than a year earlier, the report says.
