"Russia helps Iran identify targets for strikes": in Germany called Putin's plan cynical

The German foreign minister has said that Russia is providing Iran with intelligence and helping it to select targets for strikes. According to him, the Kremlin is trying to divert the world's attention from the war in Ukraine in this way.
German Foreign Minister Johann Wadeful has said that Russia is helping Iran to identify targets for strikes and transmitting intelligence information in an attempt to distract the world's attention from the war in Ukraine. This is reported by The Guardian with reference to his statement.
According to Wadeful, Berlin sees such actions by Moscow as part of a broader geopolitical strategy. He emphasised that events in the Middle East and the war against Ukraine are closely interconnected, and Russia, according to the German side's assessment, is actually supporting Iran.
We can see very clearly how closely intertwined these two conflicts are. Russia is obviously supporting Iran with information about potential targets," the minister said.
Wadeful also noted that Vladimir Putin is counting on an escalation in the Middle East to divert the attention of Western countries from Ukraine. However, he stressed, these calculations should not be justified.
It is known that Putin instructed Russian oligarchs to make voluntary contributions to finance the war against Ukraine.
