More equipment and ammunition needed: Kuleba talks about army needs


The speed of arms delivery to Ukraine is crucial to life and peace in Europe.
Ukrainian Foreign Minister Dmytro Kuleba said this at the EU Foreign Affairs Council.
Russia's defeat is a guarantee of normalcy for Europe. There is no more important task right now. To achieve it, Ukraine needs more weapons and ammunition, and all this must be delivered as soon as possible," Kuleba said.
According to him, logistics and supplies increase the chances of winning the war.
Furthermore, Kuleba urged his colleagues to speed up arms deliveries. And noted Ukraine's main needs at the front.
As soon as possible, Ukraine needs armoured vehicles and tanks, artillery systems and ammunition to defend itself. And the minister also suggested strengthening the country's air defence by integrating it with neighbouring EU countries. And start training Ukrainian pilots in F-16s.
In the medium term, the minister calls for extended training programmes for Ukrainian defenders and increased production of ammunition.
In the long term, Kuleba urges his colleagues to consider the development of joint EU defence, including Ukraine in this policy.
