Humeniuk reveals whether Ukrainians in the south will be able to visit beaches safely this summer

The spokeswoman for the southern defence forces, Nataliya Humenyuk, said this in a televised marathon.

Humenyuk said whether residents of Odessa and Kherson regions will be able to visit beaches

In her opinion, those who live in the southern regions will unlikely be able to safely visit the beaches in the summer because of mines.

It is unlikely to be so soon, because the degree of mines and counteraction to the threat, which still remains, although reduced to a minimum, it is quite high. At present it is too early to say that the coast is a resort area; it is more likely to be a defence zone.

The coastal areas are still mined because of the Russian threat.
