Germany makes statement that AFU may not be limited to Ukrainian territory

Three Russian airfields - in Kursk, Saratov and Ryazan regions - have been attacked since the beginning of the week.

Ukraine does not have to limit itself to its own territory in defence, German government spokesman Steffen Hebeestreit has said, BBC news has reported.

Hebeestrait said:

Ukraine is not obliged to limit its defence efforts to its own state territory.

Ukraine officially says it is sabotaging Russian territory or attacking Russian military infrastructure in any way.

But US newspapers quoted sources as saying that it was Ukraine that might be behind the bombing of the Kerch Bridge and a series of explosions at Russian military facilities.
