Major General of the SBU reserve spoke about the captured "Azov"

Ukrainian soldiers, who to the last held back the enemy in Mariupol on Azovstal, and who, on the orders of the Ukrainian command, laid down their arms and were captured by Russia, are now actually "under the roof" of the Red Cross. This was stated by the Ukrainian military and public figure Viktor Yagun, major general of the SBU reserve, deputy head of the SBU (2014-2015) in an interview with Natalya Moseychuk .

He noted that they all filled out the appropriate cards, where there is not only a full name, but also contacts with their families and the opportunity to check the presence of this person on the spot for the Red Cross, how he is treated, and the like. According to Yagun, there are about 2,000 such people.

Yagun said that an international coalition was working on Azov, which gave guarantees that they would be exchanged. However, the expert stressed that Russia wants to make an "extra show" by arranging a demonstrative trial of the captured "Azov".

For Russia, this is important, this is the fetish that she is counting on. For them, the "Azov" - this is this "special operation". They built everything on it, - Yagun is convinced.

At the same time, he suggested that at least the Kremlin "did not allow its puppets from pseudo-republics to set up this trial on its territory, where there is a death penalty, and all the 'Azovites' were transferred to the territory of the Russian Federation."

This at least gives a guarantee that they will not be shot, - the expert believes.

Yagun also noted that all the wounded soldiers received medical assistance. And due to the lack of doctors among the invaders, some doctors from Azovstal can be with our defenders and treat them.
