Erdogan commented on Trump's efforts to end the war

The Turkish president held a telephone conversation with the American leader.
During a telephone conversation with US President Donald Trump, Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan expressed support for Trump's "decisive" efforts to end Russia's unjust war on Ukrina, Haber7 reported.
Erdogan noted that Turkey has supported the idea of a just and sustainable peace since the beginning of Russia's invasion of Ukraine and will continue to adhere to this position.
In addition, he stressed that the US and Turkey should work together to restore stability in Syria and strengthen cooperation in the defence industry, including the completion of the deal on F-16 fighter jets.
Recall, Turkey does not recognise the illegal de facto situation in Crimea, which is contrary to international law, and supports the territorial integrity and sovereignty of Ukraine. Ankara has repeatedly condemned Russian aggression and urged the parties to sit down at the negotiating table.
We shall remind you that as part of efforts to end the war, the US side, in particular, held a number of talks with both Ukrainian and Russian representatives.
