Cambodia will send its sappers to train Ukrainians


Cambodian sappers are considered among the most experienced in the world.
This was reported by the press service of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Cambodia.
On November 1, Cambodian Prime Minister Hun Sen spoke with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky. They agreed to cooperate. Among other things, there was information that Ukrainian sappers would be taught by some of the best Cambodian instructors.
Hun Sen pledged to send instructors to cooperate with Japan. The parties agreed to equip the first group of sappers on the territory of Ukraine in early December, the second - in the first quarter of 2023.
Cambodia is one of the most mined countries in the world. And Cambodian sappers are considered one of the most experienced, and over the past decade, several thousand specialists have been sent under the auspices of the UN to work in Africa and the Middle East.
