The US President also noted that a nuclear war cannot be won.

US President Joe Biden made a statement during a speech at the 77th UN General Assembly.

President Putin openly threatened Europe with nuclear weapons. Now Russia is raising more and more troops to join the fighting, and the Kremlin is organizing bogus "referendums" to try to annex Ukrainian territories in a grave violation of the UN charter, Biden said.

The US President also noted that a nuclear war cannot be won.

Biden stressed that the nuclear non-proliferation regime is one of the UN's biggest successes.

It is worth recalling that on September 21, Putin made a statement in which he hinted at the use of nuclear weapons. He stated that Western countries allegedly allow themselves "nuclear blackmail" against the Russian Federation. Therefore, for protection, he uses all available means and noted that "this is not a bluff."
