More than 55% of the Earth's resources go to feed humanity.

Humanity has exhausted the resources of the Earth, which it can reproduce in a year and began to live in debt. Day X came on July 28th. As the press service of the World Wildlife Fund (WWF) notes, it was on this day that the resources of the planet ended, which it can reproduce in a year.

WWF emphasizes that this date is shifting further from the end of the year every year, which means that nature does not have time to replenish the lost resources, and humanity is becoming more and more "insatiable".

Experts said that every day humanity cuts down 27 thousand hectares of forest, emits 90.4 million tons of carbon dioxide into the atmosphere, and sends up to 5.5 million tons of garbage to a landfill. At the same time, different countries spend resources differently.

In turn, the Nangs portal writes that the largest consumption of natural resources occurs in Qatar. There is a very high level of electricity consumption. Residents of the country enjoy free electricity and free water. The demand for electricity in the country is growing by 7% per year.

Second on this list is Kuwait. According to environmental reports, the average Kuwaiti spends 22 times more resources than the country produces per inhabitant. The third place belongs to the United Arab Emirates. The government of this country has already stated that it intends to focus on renewable energy sources in the future.

In fourth place is Denmark, followed by the United States. In the first country, they eat a lot of meat, which is too energy-intensive production, in the USA, the demand for electricity is growing.

The top 10 energy-consuming countries also include: Belgium, Canada, Australia, the Netherlands, Ireland.

Environmentalists warn that this consumerist attitude is ruining our planet. They called for a conscious and careful attitude to the planet and its wealth - to save water, electricity, not to buy too much, whether it be food or clothing, to follow eco-labels on goods, and also to behave responsibly in nature: do not litter, clean up after yourself, do not exterminate animals, do not destroy vegetation.
