The Ukrainian military is preparing for the liberation of the Kherson region.

Residents of the Kherson region who cannot leave the region must prepare a shelter, as well as make a supply of water and food for the period when the de-occupation of the region will take place. This was stated on the air of the telethon by the first deputy head of the Kherson Regional Council Yuriy Sobolevsky.

I fully support Vereshchuk's appeal that our people still need to leave. I know it's very hard and not everyone has this opportunity, but you have to do it. Those who cannot do this in any way need to prepare for the fact that they will need shelter again, again it is necessary to prepare a supply of water, a certain supply of food in order to survive the onset of our troops,” he said.

Sobolevsky noted that the Armed Forces of Ukraine will work "as carefully as possible, surgically" in order to save people's lives, "but war is war."

Earlier, the Minister for the Temporarily Occupied Territories, Irina Vereshchuk, on the air of the telethon called on the residents of the temporarily occupied territories of the Kherson and Zaporozhye regions to evacuate in order to facilitate the de-occupation of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

She explained that de-occupation involves the use of military force by the fighters of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. At the same time, the Russians are interested in keeping as many residents as possible in the occupied territories in order to use them as human shields, so the invaders do their best to prevent evacuation.

Vereshchuk added that there are opportunities for evacuation.
