Zelensky assessed the US ambassador's reaction to the missile strike on Kryvyi Rih

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy has commented on the statement by US Ambassador Bridget Brink, who, speaking about the Russian strike on Kryvyy Rih, did not specify that the missile belonged to Russia. The corresponding message the head of state published in social networks.

It is very important that this Russian strike on people, on the city and every such strike did not remain without a reaction of the world. Krivoy Rog and all of Ukraine yesterday and today many have already supported, - wrote Zelensky.

He expressed gratitude to the foreign ministers of the Czech Republic, Finland, Lithuania, Latvia, Estonia and Austria, as well as to the European Union High Representative for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy Kaja Kallas.

We are grateful to the embassies of Japan, the United Kingdom, Switzerland and Germany for their principled position. However, the reaction of the US embassy is disappointing: a country with such powerful capabilities, a people with such strength - and such a weak response. They are even afraid to say the word 'Russian' when it comes to the missile that killed children," Zelensky said.

He supported the opinion of Brigitte Brink, who said that "the war must end," but noted that in order to achieve peace, it is necessary to "call things by their names."

One must not be afraid to act and put pressure on the one who continues this war and rejects all proposals to end it. Pressure must be put on Russia, which chooses the killing of children over a ceasefire. New sanctions should be imposed on those who cannot exist without launching ballistic missiles at a neighbouring nation. Everything should be done to save lives," Zelensky wrote.

Earlier, the US Ambassador to Ukraine Brigitte Brink wrote that the hit of the missile near a playground and a restaurant in Krivoy Rog causes horror, but did not mention that the launch was made by Russia.

The victims of the attack were 18 people, including nine children.
