With the help of a single video surveillance camera and a network of informants from residents, Chornobyl Tour employees transmitted information to Ukrainian military intelligence throughout the occupation.

Recall that the Russian troops occupied the Chornobyl nuclear power plant in the first days of the war and controlled the station until the end of March. All this time, an organization operated underground that supplied Ukrainian intelligence with information about the movement and location of the Russian army. It is reported by the Washington Post.

Chornobyl Tour had a small video camera at the entrance to the zone, which the company's employees could remotely control.

In the first hours of the war, the camera did not bring any essential information, but later the movement of columns of Russian military equipment began non-stop.

The Russians, passing by the border, immediately tore down the Ukrainian flags and turned off all the cameras, but they let ours through for some reason. Then we began to count Russian equipment, - said Ekaterina Aslamova, coordinator of the agency.

The flow of technology slowed down only two days later.

All this time, agency employees were transmitting information about the movement of occupiers' equipment to intelligence.

A few days later, the camera stopped working - either the batteries were dead, or the Russians noticed it.

At the same time, agency workers contacted residents of the surrounding villages, who worked together during the five weeks of the occupation.

The network of informants collected information about the direction of movement of the military equipment of the occupiers and its quantity and transmitted the location coordinates.

Being exposed to severe risks, people were forced to walk into the fields and forests in search of a mobile connection to send their information to Kyiv.

The nuclear power plant workers also resisted the Russian invasion - during this time, nine people were killed, and five were kidnapped.

At the moment, Chornobyl Tour is still unable to disclose the details of some of its operations due to the sensitivity of the information. All the messages they sent immediately were deleted; however, the videos and correspondence in Telegram, which the group still retained, confirm their activities.
