Russian troops shell Bakhmut with artillery, people killed


The Russian Federation has focused on trying to fully capture Donetsk Region within its administrative boundaries and is conducting offensives near Bakhmut.
Russian troops shelled Bakhmut with artillery during the "Christmas truce". 13 people were wounded and two were killed, the Office of the Prosecutor-General has reported .
It is specified that a 66-year-old man and a 61-year-old woman were killed in heavy mortar attacks on residential areas.
Thirteen other people suffered mine blast injuries and shrapnel wounds.
There was damage and destruction to private homes, apartment buildings and other properties.

The Ukrainian Armed Forces have repelled a number of attacks by the Russian occupants in Luhansk and Donetsk regions over the past 24 hours as the enemy concentrated in the Bakhmut direction, the general staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine has said in a briefing.
