In Ukraine, it became possible to send a complaint about smoking in public places

On December 16, 2021, the Verkhovna Rada adopted Law No. 1978-IX "On Amendments to Certain Laws of Ukraine Regarding the Protection of Public Health from the Harmful Effects of Tobacco". The action of the Law is aimed at reducing the attractiveness of tobacco products, protection from the influence of second-hand tobacco smoke, emissions from electronic cigarettes and aerosol of tobacco products for heating in public places.

You can complain about smoking in restaurants, bars, cafes, public places, residential buildings, etc. You can also report illegal trade in tobacco products, advertising of cigarettes, or the absence of warning information or the presence of prohibited items for smoking.

You can file a complaint:

• on site ;
• in a chat bot in Telergam;
• Viber .

The system will automatically forward the complaint to the appropriate control body.
