Plans for the evacuation of the population will depend on the course of the war.

The government does not exclude that in addition to the Donetsk region, people will have to be taken out of the Kharkov, Zaporozhye and Nikolaev regions. Politicians note that everything will depend on the situation at the front and in the event of an increase in danger, people living in this territory will be asked to leave their homes and move to a safer place. This was announced by Deputy Prime Minister for Reintegration Irina Vereshchuk.

Kharkiv, Zaporozhye, Mykolaiv are in line for mandatory evacuation, Vereshchuk said.

She clarified that we are not talking about the complete evacuation of these regions, but about some of their parts.

People will need mandatory evacuation, and we are also preparing for it,” she stressed.

At the same time, the Deputy Prime Minister noted that in the event of a general evacuation, all costs associated with transportation, food, medical services and accommodation are covered by the state.

Everything that people need to survive the winter, they will have, and will be free, she assured.

Vereshchuk also recalled that people who are centrally taken out of dangerous regions are entitled to additional cash payments.

If it is a mandatory evacuation, 2200 UAH per person immediately upon the arrival of the train or other vehicle used in the evacuation. And also UAH 2,000 for each adult, UAH 3,000 for each child or person with a disability,” Vereshchuk said.

Note that at the moment people are being evacuated from the Donetsk region. The state took over all the costs associated with this. People are settled where they can survive the winter. In total, the CMU plans to evacuate about 250 thousand people from the Donetsk region.
