The Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation has not publicly confirmed the death of a press officer.
In the war zone, on the territory of Ukraine, an employee of the press service of the Russian Defense Ministry, Colonel Vladimir Ivanov, was liquidated. He was killed on March 25, but his death became known later. Mediazona reports.
The Russian VGTRK propagandist Yevgeny Poddubny was the first to report his death. He went to the action "Immortal Regiment" on May 9 with a portrait of Ivanov.
Further, Mediazona confirmed the death of the colonel using the registry of inheritance cases, Getcontact applications and leaks from Russian databases. Journalists learned that 41-year-old Vladimir Ivanov died on March 25.
The notary, who drew up the inheritance case, indicated the address of the deceased - Moscow, st. Znamenka, 19. This is the main building of the Ministry of Defense, it is also military unit 66524, the newspaper writes.
Ivanov is known as a propagandist, an accomplice in information and propaganda campaigns and manipulations by the Russian Defense Ministry to justify Russian aggression against Ukraine, massacres of Syrian civilians. An employee of the Department of Information and Mass Communications of the Russian Ministry of Defense is directly involved in the conduct of the Russian Defense Ministry's information war against Ukraine.
According to Russian databases, Vladimir Ivanov was born in Rostov-on-Don and served in the headquarters of the Southern Military District before being transferred to Moscow.
At the same time, the Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation did not publicly confirm the death of a press officer.
