If the country's authorities find out that the money was paid illegally, the money will have to be returned.

Poland intends to check the legality of payments to Ukrainian refugees. And if the supervisory bodies decide that the money was given illegally, it will have to be returned. About it writes in-poland.com.

It is noted that refugees from Ukraine in Poland receive payments for children in the amount of 500 zlotys monthly. But, according to the rules, the money should not be paid if Ukrainians leave Poland for more than 30 days. In this case they stop paying aid.

But there are cases when a person is not in Poland for more than 30 days, and the payments are still counted. It is such citizens who will be blocked payments, - the journalists point out.

It is specified that payments will be withdrawn with the collection of a fine.

The report says that the authorities have access to the registers of the Border Guard. Also will take into account information from third parties.

Persons falling under the category that are not eligible for the payments will be called to testify. Under current regulations, the citizen must respond to the summons within three days. In case the person was absent from Poland for more than 30 days and received 500+, the money will have to be returned with interest," it said.

The Polish Border Guard Service reported that since 24 February 2022, the Ukrainian-Polish border crossed about 12 million Ukrainians. To date, there are about one million Ukrainian refugees in Poland.
