Pentagon tells when heavy fighting awaits Ukraine

US Defence Department spokesman Brigadier General Pat Ryder said at a briefing that Ukraine's allies will do everything possible to address the ammunition shortage.

Ryder noted:

It is important to take a step back and look at the progress made, while being aware of the fact that there is an uphill battle ahead, especially as we enter the spring and summer.

The Brigadier General said that the Ramstein meeting to be held today will focus on urgent needs and also on munitions for Ukraine.

A US Defence Department spokesman stressed:

You have heard Secretary Austin and others say that we are committed to making sure the Ukrainians have everything they need to succeed.
