An anti-terrorist operation has been imposed in Moscow. Putin calls Prigozhin a traitor


The Wagnerians have taken control of all the key facilities in Voronezh, Rostov.
The actions of Yevgeny Prigozhin, founder of the Wagner PMC, were a betrayal and a stab in the back. This was stated by Kremlin head Vladimir Putin.
Any internal turmoil is a threat to statehood," Putin said during a televised address.

Putin also commented on the situation in Rostov, which is "complicated": "In fact, the authorities have been blocked.
We shall remind you that on June 23, founder of the Wagner PMC Yevgeny Prigozhin accused the Russian military leadership of shelling the PMC camp and promised a response. The Defense Ministry called Prigozhin's statement untrue and a provocation. A criminal case was opened against Prigozhin in Russia under the article on sedition (Art. 279 of the Russian Criminal Code). The FSB urged PMC fighters not to follow Prigozhin's orders and detain him.
On the morning of June 24, Prigozhin made a claim that Rostov was blocked by the Wagner PMC and "military facilities, including the airfield, are under control". The governor of the Rostov Region, Vasily Golubev, announced the cancellation of mass events in the city and urged residents not to leave their homes. Mass events have also been cancelled in the Lipetsk and Voronezh regions.
A counter-terrorist operation mode has been introduced in Moscow and the Moscow region.
Additional roadside checks have been introduced. Restrictions on the holding of public events are possible. Please, be understanding of the measures taken," said Sergei Sobyanin, the Mayor of Moscow.
In turn, the Ministry of Defence of the Russian Federation made an official appeal to the PMC mercenaries.
You have been duped into the criminal adventure of Prigozhin and participation in an armed insurgency," reads the statement.
Members of the PMCs are asked to show discretion and get in touch with representatives of the Russian Ministry of Defense or law enforcement agencies.
Everyone is guaranteed security," it said.
