Combat operations are accompanied by serious analytical work and calculations of the anticipated development of the situation.

Deputy Defence Minister Annu Malyar spoke about this.

I will open the curtain a little - worthwhile on the words "fighting continues in Bakhmut" and how operational decisions are made. Of course, only what the military has authorised. Combat is accompanied by serious analytical work by a large number of people," Malyar wrote.

According to her, decisions are made on the basis of analysis and calculations, taking into account

  • the operational situation on the ground, which is monitored and reported to headquarters 24/7;
  • continuous analysis of enemy action and the dynamics of the situation across multiple criteria;
  • based on the data received, the headquarters forecasts the likely threats and enemy actions.

Operational information and analyses made are continuously in line with the command of the Operational and Strategic Grouping of Forces Khortytsya in the area of responsibility, which is now in the Bakhmut direction," the deputy minister added.

Thus, the command, based on the analysis of changes in the situation, forecasts of enemy actions and assessments of Ukrainian forces' capabilities, makes operational decisions and formulates tasks for units.
