Kyiv will be made more convenient for pedestrians

Crossroads will be modernized and traffic lights repaired.

In Kyiv, the number of ground crossings for pedestrians will be increased. It is reported by the Kiev City Council.

Thus, the city authorities are striving to ensure the physical barrier-free transport infrastructure of Kyiv, the report says.

The Kyiv City State Administration noted that during the full-scale Russian-Ukrainian war, the issue of creating a barrier-free environment in the city becomes even more relevant, since military personnel who have received disability or limb injuries as a result of injuries are returning to the capital from the front line.

The report says that the city also plans to modernize intersections and repair traffic lights.

It is necessary to provide all residents with equal access to transport, administrative buildings and other urban facilities. The city authorities are adopting European experience and introducing a modern approach to planning the capital, - said the deputy of the Kyiv Council Ksenia Semenova.
