Kyiv has developed a plan for complete evacuation - NYT

The city is under constant fire from Russian troops.
The capital's authorities do not rule out a complete failure of the power grid in the city. In this case, Kiev residents will be forced to evacuate. A plan has been developed for this purpose, The New York Times has reported
At the same time, the newspaper stresses that the city authorities may evacuate around three million people if the power grid fails completely.
Twelve hours before the "X-hour", when the power supply situation becomes critical, residents of Kiev will be warned and asked to be ready or already go to evacuate
According to the weekly, citing the head of the Kiev City State Administration's municipal security department, Roman Tkachuk, the Kiev authorities believe that Russia will continue attacks on the city and its energy sector. At the same time, he noted
We understand that if Russia continues such attacks, we can lose the entire power supply system. If there is no electricity, there will be no water and sewage. Therefore, the government and the city administration are now taking all possible measures to protect our power supply system
But for now, Tkachuk stressed that at this stage, the situation is under control and there is no reason for mass evacuation.
