A car ran over an anti-tank mine on an unpaved field road near the town of Barvenkovo in the Izyum district.
This was reported by the head of the Kharkiv regional state administration, Oleh Sinegubov.
Two people died as a result of the explosion - a 16-year-old boy and a 34-year-old man.
Two other men, aged 20 and 24, were injured and hospitalized.
Do not drive on unknown or untested roads. Do not visit forests, wooded areas, fields or rivers. Do not touch suspicious objects. It is very dangerous and can cost lives," Sinegoubov urges residents.
