State Emergency Service announces number of munitions cleared in Kherson region

The State Emergency Service of Ukraine has deactivated over 11,000 explosive objects in the de-occupied territories of Kherson Region, the press service of the State Emergency Service of Ukraine has said.
At the same time, the number of ammunition left by the invaders in the State Emergency Service of Ukraine is called incredibly large:
Pyrotechnics, centimetre by centimetre, survey the liberated territories of Kherson region and find an incredible number of explosive objects left by the occupiers.In total, since the beginning of demining work, 11,346 items of VNP have been found and deactivated
The pyrotechnic units of the State Emergency Situations Service of Ukraine have already surveyed:
- 922.2 hectares of territory;
- 125 objects;
- 339.1 km of roads;
- 260.3 km of power lines;
- 19.7 km of gas pipelines;
- 60 km of railway tracks;
- 598 households.
It should be noted that approximately 30% of Ukraine's territory is contaminated with explosive ordnance. It is planned that all explosives will be removed in 10 years.
