British intelligence assessed the actions of the Armed Forces of Ukraine and gave a forecast for the end of the war

Precise strikes by the Ukrainian army on bridges in southern Ukraine made the Russian occupiers more vulnerable. It is difficult for them to deliver equipment, and the ways of their movement are also limited. This was announced by the UK Department of Defense on Twitter.

They indicated that the two main road bridges that provided access to the territory occupied by Russians on the western bank of the Dnieper in the Kherson region, now, with a high degree of probability, cannot be used to transport large-sized equipment.

British intelligence noted that the Russians tried to repair the Antonovsky Bridge, but they failed to do it quickly and well. He received additional damage and the restoration of the bridge looks more than doubtful. Now the Russians use a pontoon crossing next to it.

The intelligence also noted that the main railway bridge near Kherson also received additional damage, so since the end of July, Russia has also been unable to use it fully.

Given the limited supply chain, the size of any stockpiles Russia has been able to build up on the West Bank is likely to be a key factor in force endurance, UK intelligence predicts.

At the same time, its experts note that there is nothing to indicate an early end to the military conflict on the territory of Ukraine. As the head of British military intelligence, Jim Hockengall, said in an interview with the BBC , it is not worth waiting for the end of the war in 2022.

Hockengall believes that Russia will try to accumulate forces in order to strike with more force in the east and south. He pointed out that the Russian army is moving units to the south of Ukraine, which also indicates the duration of the conflict.

He noted that the Ukrainian army has become stronger during this time, but stressed that in the coming months the situation at the front, most likely, will not undergo significant changes.
