More than 3,000 occupiers surrendered in April

In April, 3,200 Russian soldiers surrendered.
Vitaly Matvienko, spokesman for the state-run Russian and Belarusian military surrender project "I want to live", said this at a press conference.
According to him, the number of those willing to surrender has increased among the occupiers.
In April, the number of appeals has increased by 10% compared to March 2023 and is now 3,200," said Matvienko.
All in all, since its inception, the I Want to Live project has received over 16,000 requests. And the website has been visited by more than 36 million visitors, of whom 32 million are from Russia.
According to a survey of prisoners of war, about 40 percent of occupants voluntarily surrendered.
In addition, the study showed that only 10% of Russian POWs have higher education. The majority, 57.7%, have specialized secondary education, 19.2% have only finished school, and 12.2% have not received a secondary education.
