In September, 73,000 more Ukrainians left for Poland than entered Ukraine. The dynamics of departure may increase due to the threat of blackouts.
This was reported by the analytical centre Gremi Personal.
According to analysts, Ukrainians go abroad more often than they return. In particular, 73,000 fewer Ukrainians returned to Ukraine from Poland in September.
According to the Polish Border Guard Service, 840.5 thousand Ukrainians crossed the border. While 767.1 people left for Ukraine.
Such dynamics has a number of reasons - Ukrainians who found refuge in European countries are returning to their temporary homes after the holiday season. This trend was also present before the full-scale war in Ukraine, when labour migrants came home in the summer and returned to Poland for work in the autumn. The desire to reunite with family is another important factor," analysts explain.
According to official data, 59.3% of Ukrainians who left in 2022 are mothers with children.
Also the dynamics of departures is influenced by the repeated threat of blackouts. The number of refugees from Ukraine is expected to increase until December.
