The missiles were shot down by units of anti-aircraft missile forces, fighter aircraft and mobile fire groups of MANPADS.

This was reported by Yuriy Hnat, spokesman of the Air Force of the AFU, during a briefing at the Defense Ministry.

In the morning, Russia again started shelling Ukraine with X-101 and X-555 cruise missiles. These missiles have a range of 5,000 km and fly quite slowly, which is why the alarm sounded for so long, — Gnat explained.

The missiles were shot down by anti-aircraft missile units, fighter aviation and mobile MANPAD firing groups.

As of 9:00 a.m., four missiles had been shot down in southern Ukraine. The second wave of attacks continued from 9:30 a.m. to 1 p.m.

It is worth recalling that the Russian Federation launched 83 missiles at Ukraine on October 10, 43 of which were shot down by the AFU. In addition to the missile attacks, the Russians carried out air strikes using 17 Shahid UAVs from the territory of Belarus and Crimea. Eleven important infrastructure facilities in eight regions and Kyiv were damaged. Part of the regions were de-energized, and all services are working on the ground and restoring infrastructure promptly.

Today is the second day that Russia continues to hit Ukrainian infrastructure facilities.
