Ukraine began to export beef

Beef production in Ukraine in recent years has been export-oriented. In connection with the war and the closure of ports, manufacturers were looking for ways to change logistics. This was reported by the press service of the Ukrainian club of agrarian business (UKAB).

In connection with the closure of Ukrainian ports, logistics needed to be changed. As a result, in May, new agreements were concluded with the European Commission, according to which the transit of beef through the EU countries for further trade was agreed. This agreement made it possible to start the procedure for resuming the export of meat from Ukraine, the UCAB reported.

In 2021, 84.6% of logistics accounted for maritime transport to countries such as China, Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan, Azerbaijan, Georgia.

In June, 0.93 thousand tons were exported, and in July trade increased by 33% and already amounts to 1.23 thousand tons. Therefore, it can be predicted that exports will gradually increase in August due to the opening of Ukrainian ports for grain, - said Maxim Gopka, an analyst at UCAB.
