This is in response to the Olympic Committee's decision to return Russian and Belarusian athletes in neutral status.

This decision was taken by the Cabinet of Ministers. This was announced by CMU Minister Oleh Nemchynov on the air of the national TV marathon.

According to the government decision, Ukrainian athletes will boycott tournaments in which athletes from Russia or Belarus are represented.

At the government meeting, a protocol decision was made on the proposal of colleague Gutzeit (Ukrainian Youth and Sports Minister Vadym Gutzeit - editor) that we will take part in qualifying competitions (for the 2024 Olympics - editor) only where there are no Russians. Accordingly, participation outside these criteria may be grounds for stripping the federation of its national status.

This is how Ukraine responded to the recommendations of the International Olympic Committee regarding the participation of athletes from Russia and Belarus in competitions.

Sports federations were advised to return Russian and Belarusian athletes in neutral status. However, only in individual competitions, not in team events.
