Only fringe elements can support Russian aggression - Zelensky

The weak response of the international community to Russian terror in Syria made aggression against Ukraine possible, the president said.
Only fringe elements in different parts of the world can support Russian aggression. This was stated by Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky.
All those who produce weapons for terror against Ukraine, who help Russia foment aggression, in particular by supplying Shaheeds, who support Russia's destruction of international law, can only be marginalised for the world. This will apply not only to aggression against Ukrainians, starting from Crimea, but also to other Russian aggressions against the international order, including in Syria," he said.
He also pointed out that impunity for terrorists breeds new terror, which happened to Ukraine as well. As Russia has not been punished for the violence, killing and looting in Syria.
The people of Syria have not received proper international protection and this has given a sense of impunity to the Kremlin and its accomplices. The cities of Syria have been destroyed by Russian bombs just like our cities. It is this impunity that is the cause of the Kremlin's current aggressiveness," Zelensky said.
We would like to point out that the Ukrainian president imposed sanctions against 300 individuals and 141 legal entities, in particular regarding Syrian President Bashar Hafez al-Assad and several other Syrian officials.
