The US has accused China of crucially helping Russia in the war

China provides military production for the Russians and provides political cover for Russian aggression.
Beijing's statements that China allegedly seeks peace on the territory of Ukraine are false and in fact China is helping Russia to wage its war of aggression. This was stated at the UN Security Council meeting by US Deputy Permanent Representative Robert Wood, Ukrinform reported.
He noted that China "covers" Russia in the international arena by voting in a way that is beneficial to Moscow and supplies the neighbouring country with technology, which the Russians then use to produce weapons.
China's support for Russia clearly contradicts the principles of the UN Charter. China has said in this Council that sovereignty and territorial integrity should be respected. But if it were serious about this, it would use its influence to stop the Russian Federation from violating Ukraine's sovereignty and territorial integrity," the diplomat pointed out.
He stressed that despite Beijing's official statements and numerous warnings from the West, China continues to provide Russia's military-industrial base with bomb-making materials, machine parts, equipment and tools for weapons factories, and technologies to power drones and missiles.
PRC companies have helped develop and manufacture long-range drones for Russian forces," Wood pointed out.
He emphasised that the Russians, with the help of the Chinese, are killing Ukrainians on their soil, and China's assistance in these killings is nothing short of participating in the war.
China is playing a crucial role in supporting the Russian war," Wood pointed out.
The US deputy ambassador noted that such a position of Beijing violates the UN charter and if China really wants peace, it should stop supplying the Russians with dual-use goods and demand that the Kremlin withdraw its troops from the territory of a foreign country.
