The Verkhovna Rada adopted a bill establishing a moratorium on the increase in heat tariffs for the population.

This was announced on Telegram by People's Deputy Yaroslav Zheleznyak.

Zheleznyak said that the project had been under discussion for almost two months and was accepted today.

The moratorium will be in effect during martial law and six months after it ends. The bill also provides for a ban on increasing tariffs for all categories of consumers for:

  • natural gas distribution services;
  • thermal energy (its production, transportation and supply);
  • services for the supply of thermal energy and supply of hot water.
