CEC: adopted a number of decisions to make it harder for Russians to prepare for pseudo-referendums

The CEC closed access to the voter register.
According to the head of the Central Election Commission, Oleg Didenko, this will protect the personal data of Ukrainians and complicate the preparation of pseudo-referendums for Russians. This was reported by "Babel," referring to the comments of Oleg Didenko.
When the full-scale invasion began on February 24, 2022, we passed a resolution that closed access to the voter register. The State Voter Register is one of the largest and most accurate databases of Ukrainian citizens,” Didenko said.
Didenko said the Russians do not have lists of people living in the occupied territories.
In July, we appealed to states not to recognize pseudo-referendums. We also called on citizens not to participate and warned them of criminal liability for participating in a pseudo-referendum,” Didenko added.
- Ukrainians were reminded of the responsibility for participation in the referendums of the occupiers
- Vereshchuk warned that Ukrainians could be punished for participating in the so-called "referenda"
- Russia has postponed the dates of its "referendums" for the time being.
