Russia has postponed the dates of its "referendums" for the time being.

This is reported by analysts from the American Institute for the Study of War.

The report says that the occupying authorities no longer refer to September 11 as the date for fictitious Russian plebiscites on annexing the occupied territories to the Russian Federation.

For now, the date remains uncertain. The occupying authorities have taken measures to hold fictitious referendums at any time, mainly using "online voting" and "door-to-door polling" of the local population.

In addition, ISW experts believe that “forced passport nation, rubleization, “filtration,” and other “integration” measures are much more harmful to Ukraine than “referenda.”

Also, annexation will complicate negotiations.
