Russians legally ban Ukrainian books in occupied territories

The Russian authorities are planning to legally ban Ukrainian books in the temporarily occupied Ukrainian territories. This was reported by the Centre for National Resistance on 28 March.

In the temporarily occupied territories, the Russians are at war with everything Ukrainian and plan to legalize bans on Ukrainian literature," the report said.

It is noted that the Kremlin's Nazi policy is aimed at enslaving the subjugated peoples and destroying their self-identity. Therefore, from the very beginning of the occupation, the Russians seized libraries, exported and burned Ukrainian books.

Now the occupiers finally want to create a legal basis for their Nazi actions. Moscow has drafted a bill that would regulate the entry of "info-agent books", i.e. any books that encourage thinking, into the libraries' collection," the centre said.

The CNS urged Ukrainians at the WOT to cherish Ukrainian literature, exchange it and distribute it among acquaintances - to prevent the Russians from breaking the nation's code.
