Russian troops twice hit a recreation centre in Kharkiv region with missiles

Russian troops have twice hit a recreation centre in the village of Cherkasskaya Lozovaya, Kharkiv Region, with Iskander-M missiles. Six people were killed, 19 injured, among them an 8-year-old child. This was reported by the National police on 19 May.

"The enemy struck, tentatively with a missile "Iskander-M", on the recreation base located on the territory of the reservoir, where there were at that time civilians of the city, - said the head of the police of Kharkiv region Vladimir Timoshko.

He specified that since 2022, no military facility has been in this place.

Some time later, the enemy launched a second strike also with an Iskander missile in order to hit the staff who had arrived to provide assistance.

During the second strike, civilians who were on the territory of the base, emergency medics and police officers were hit.

There were six fatalities, including a pregnant woman. Sixteen people between the ages of 21 and 72 were injured, as well as an eight-year-old child.

A patrol police officer and an ambulance paramedic were also injured. Nine people are in serious condition.

Investigative and operational teams, criminalists and explosion technicians were working at the scene. On the fact of violation of laws and customs of war investigators opened criminal proceedings under part 2 of article 438 of the Criminal code of Ukraine.

Earlier Socialportal reported that in the village of Cherkasskaya Lozovaya a woman 7 months pregnant was killed by Russian shelling.
