Russian media: Chairman of the State Duma of the Russian Federation almost died under shelling in Donetsk

On August 23, there was an explosion in the administration of the "head of the DPR," in which the chairman of the State Duma of the Russian Federation was previously located.
The rocket hit the office in the administration building of the "DNR" a few minutes before the strike, and the delegation of the State Duma of the Russian Federation, headed by Volodin, was evacuated from the building. The Russian media report this.
According to the publication, the rocket hit the office in the DPR administration building, from which the Duma delegation headed by Volodin was recently withdrawn. Earlier, they met there with the head of the region Denis Pushilin and deputies of the local parliament. The topic of the meeting was bilateral relations between the Russian Federation and the “DPR,” Russian media reported.
The Donetsk media wrote that four to six missiles carried out the strike. The shelling was blamed on the Ukrainian military.
The delegation's visit to Donetsk was officially confirmed in the lower house of parliament. The website of the State Duma says that the Russian media wrote, together with Volodin, that the heads of several Duma committees were at the meeting.
According to the American Institute for the Study of War (ISW), the Russian Federation may use the attack on Donetsk as an excuse to strike Ukrainian government buildings on the country's Independence Day on August 24. The institute also suggested that Russia had staged an attack on the DPR administration.
There are currently no statements from the Ukrainian authorities about the explosions.
