- Russia again threatens Poland

Relations between the Russian Federation and Poland are now the most tense in history.
The Russian Foreign Ministry said that Russia would have to "neutralize potential threats" to its security in the event of an increase in NATO troops in Poland. Oleg Tyapkin, director of the third European department of the Russian Foreign Ministry, stated this in an interview with the Russian agency Interfax .
He noted that even before 2014, the governments of Poland were persistently seeking to strengthen the eastern flank of NATO and deploy NATO troops on their territory, which "cannot leave Moscow indifferent."
Of course, we cannot and will not watch indifferently the build-up of the NATO group in Poland. The answer, as always, will be proportionate and adequate, aimed at neutralizing potential threats to the security of the Russian Federation, Tyapkin said.
He added that relations between the Russian Federation and Poland are now the most tense in history.
Recall, the day before, after the Bucharest Nine summit, Polish President Andrzej Duda said that the countries of NATO's eastern flank want to increase the Alliance's troops on their territory.
In particular, he expressed hope for an increase in the number of US troops in this part of Europe.
Warsaw wants to further expand its military presence on the eastern borders of the North Atlantic Alliance. This was announced on Friday in Bucharest by Polish President Andrzej Duda. He also spoke in favor of increasing the American military presence in the eastern part of Europe. According to Duda, this problem will be discussed at the NATO summit and bilaterally with US representatives.
