Reznikov told how much the Ukrainian army will increase

In Ukraine, they plan to expand the permanent army. The increased composition of the Armed Forces of Ukraine will continue to operate after the end of hostilities. This was stated by Defense Minister Alexei Reznikov in an interview with Forbes . According to him, this is an assessment by NATO analysts of the further necessary development of events related to the aggressor country.

Reznikov said that according to the order of the President, by 2024 the Ukrainian army should be expanded by another 100,000 people.

That is, the Armed Forces will be 350,000-360,000 plus the security and defense sector, the National Police, the National Guard, border guards, the SBU - a total of another 200,000 people. That is, 500 thousand - these will be people in uniform, - said Reznikov.

Recall that from March 1, 2022, President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky announced that military personnel will receive 30 and 100 thousand hryvnias of monetary allowance. The amount of these payments may vary depending on the position, duration of service, intensity of work.

The monetary payments that military personnel now receive consist of two parts: monthly monetary allowance and additional monetary remuneration established for the period of martial law:

• for those military personnel who are not directly involved in the conduct of hostilities, the additional remuneration per month is UAH 30,000, or approximately UAH 1,000 per day;
• for soldiers participating in battles, additional remuneration is determined at the rate of UAH 100,000 per month, or approximately UAH 3,000 per day.

At the same time, the number of days that a serviceman was directly in combat, carried out combat missions, is determined from combat orders and orders issued by the military command of various structures of the defense forces.
