Украинские правоохранители установили личности 45 военных РФ, которых подозревают в совершении военных преступлений на территории Украины.

This was announced by the Prosecutor General Irina Venediktova during the telethon.

To date, we have identified 45 such persons regarding war crimes, this is Article 438 of the Criminal Code, and three people are already in court. The person we are accused of killing a civilian and two more people have been brought to court (and they are physically located in Ukraine), these are people who fired at civilian infrastructure in the Kharkiv region,” Venediktova said.

She also added that at the moment there are also 11,600 facts on which crimes are being investigated. To prosecute for war crimes you need to find all the witnesses. Now this is complicated by the impossibility of access to certain territories. Therefore, it is very difficult to predict the duration of the entire process.

As you know, on May 13, the Solomensky District Court in Kyiv began hearings on the case of Russian Vadim Shishimarin. This is the first Russian military man to appear before a Ukrainian court for a war crime.

According to investigators, on February 28, a 21-year-old Russian soldier killed an unarmed resident of the village of Chupakhovka, Sumy region, who was driving a bicycle along the side of the road. Before that, the column, in which Sergeant Shishimarin was, was defeated by the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

So, while running away, he and 4 other colleagues fired at a private car from machine guns and stole it. And already on it, with wheels pierced by the occupiers, the invaders drove into the village. On the way, they saw a man who was returning home and talking on the phone.

One of the military ordered the sergeant to kill a civilian so that he would not report them to the Ukrainian defenders. He fired several aimed shots through the open window of the car from a Kalashnikov assault rifle into the head of the 62-year-old victim. The man died on the spot just a few tens of meters from his home.

As Venediktova stated, prosecutors and investigators of the SBU have collected enough evidence of his involvement in violating the laws and customs of war, combined with premeditated murder (part 2 of article 438 of the Criminal Code). For these actions, he faces 10 to 15 years in prison or life imprisonment.
