Slovak president explains why there is no more aid for Ukraine

The anti-Ukrainian party Smer-SD of former prime minister Robert Fitzo received the most votes in the Slovakian election.
Slovakia will no longer provide military assistance to Ukraine after the anti-Ukrainian party Smer won the election, Slovak President Zuzana Chaputova was quoted by TV Markiza as saying. This was announced by Slovak President Zuzana Chaputova, who was quoted by TV Markiza.
She pointed out that from now on she had no influence on such issues and would not be able to force the pro-Russian Smer to help Ukraine.
The head of state said that she had already had a conversation with acting Prime Minister Ludovit Odor about stopping the supply of military aid to Kiev. The president said that she agreed with his arguments.
In addition, according to Chaputova, another factor was the content of the military aid package.
It is not only about ammunition... If there were only ammunition, it would be a completely different issue, a completely different topic of discussion," she said, adding that it was about other, more powerful equipment.
At the same time, she stressed that the military aid provided by Slovakia to Ukraine was the largest the country had ever provided, and in per capita terms, it was one of the largest provided by any other country.
It should be noted that President Chaputova has been a strong supporter of such assistance from the very beginning. In 2022, Slovakia provided Ukraine with arms worth 168m euros.
