Colombian President Gustavo Petro: "In Latin America, the war on drugs must end."

Colombian President Gustavo Petro, speaking at the UN General Assembly, said that the war on drugs had failed. CNN reports it.

"Which is more poisonous to humanity - cocaine, coal or oil?" he asked speaking.

The Colombian president stressed that cocaine overdose kills a small number of people, while coal and oil can destroy all of humanity.

The authorities said that cocaine is a poison and should be pursued, although it is fraught with minimal deaths from overdose, but coal and oil must be protected, even if they can destroy all of humanity, said Gustavo Petro.
