Poland ready to supply Ukraine with 60 tanks
Poland's prime minister believes Russia may have thousands of tanks.
The announcement was made by Prime Minister Mateusz Morawiecki on the Canadian TV channel CTV News.
According to the Polish official, Poland is going to transfer 60 tanks to Ukraine. 14 of them are the Leopard 2 tanks mentioned earlier. Another 30 tanks are the PT-91 model.
Asked by an interviewer about German Chancellor Olaf Scholz's earlier fears that the supply of tanks could be seen by Russia as an escalation, the Polish prime minister said that "fear is a weapon, our weapon must be solidarity".
Morawiecki also noted that Russia may have thousands of tanks. Therefore allies should consolidate to help Ukraine.
