North Korea prepares two brigades of 6 thousand people: Zelensky reported details

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky said in his evening address that Russia is preparing units from the North Korean military to take part in combat operations in Ukraine.
According to him, we are talking about the formation of two brigades of up to 6,000 men each. The president received this information from a report by the AFU commander-in-chief, Oleksandr Syrskyy, who informed him about the situation on the front.
Call for partners to respond to the threat
Zelensky emphasised that the appearance of the North Korean military is a serious challenge, but Ukraine is ready to confront it. He also appealed to Ukraine's international partners, emphasising the importance of joint actions in response to such threats.
The President expressed gratitude to those countries that have already condemned North Korea's involvement in the conflict, noting that Pyongyang and Moscow equally do not value human lives. He called on the world to take decisive action to stop further North Korean interference in the war.
The importance of pressure on the regimes in Moscow and Pyongyang
Zelensky also noted that North Korea's intervention in the war in Europe shows the insufficiency of international pressure on this regime. He emphasised that if Russia continues to expand and prolong the conflict, it means that the world must step up efforts to force Moscow to make peace.
The President added that anyone who does not help Ukraine and does not put pressure on Russia is indirectly contributing to the continuation of the war. He called on the world community for a tough and substantive response, noting that mere words are not enough to stop the aggressors.
Recall that the sister of North Korean leader Kim Jong-un, Kim Yo-jong, who holds the post of head of the department of the Central Committee of the Workers' Party of Korea, made harsh statements about Ukraine and South Korea. In her speech, she called these countries "untamed dogs bred by the United States." Such an offensive statement was made against the background of tense geopolitical politics and aggravation of relations between the DPRK and other states.
Kim Yo-jong's rhetoric was part of Pyongyang's general course of criticising US allies in the countries, especially South Korea, which actively cooperates with Washington. The offensive statements against Ukraine may be related to North Korea's support for Russia.
