Netflix has announced the release date of the TV series based on the Witcher universe

This was announced at the Netflix Tudum event.

The Witcher prequel will be released this year, and the third season of The Witcher next year:

• The Witcher prequel will be released on December 25;
• The third season of The Witcher itself will be released in the summer of 2023.

Based on the series "The Witcher: Origins" (which takes place long before the events of books and games) - a prequel to "The Witcher" presented several new excerpts from the series.

For the third season of The Witcher series, only a poster was presented with an estimated premiere date.
